AEVUM

INTELLIGENCE AND INNOVATION, HAND IN HAND.

Dreamed up by three generations of UofM engineers, Aevum is our vision of a brighter dawn and a more sustainable future ahead. Designed with the formidable scale of the Michigan Sun Run in mind, Aevum conquers the road with unprecedented endurance — the perfect matrimony of modern sensor technology and sustainable array composition.

NO DAYS OFF.

Engineered with the open road in mind, Aevum’s high-performance battery architecture is our thesis to the credibility of solar-powered vehicles in extended operation.

Despite a battery capacity 15 times smaller than consumer market EVs, Aevum can match the range of its mainstream counterparts with ease—even without the help of its solar array.

THE FUTURE IS NOW.

Optimization has never been so easy. Equipped with the latest sensor suite to date, Aevum is the smartest solar car ever constructed by the team.

Whether it is battery performance, energy consumption, or array efficiency, Aevum, in its entirety, is readily accessible at the telemetrist’s fingertips.

ARRAY: RENEWED & EXPANDED.

Efficient. Durable. Compact. For years, these qualities have made Gallium Arsenide the photovoltaic standard in solar racing.

However, GaAs is not without its faults—the material is highly toxic to dispose and its sky-high price tag presents an often insurmountable barrier of entry for many. Which is why this year, the team has returned to using a traditional silicon array, such that our actions may better match our vision.

Nonetheless, with a 50% increase compared to Electrum, Aevum enjoys the greatest and most comprehensive array coverage out of any of our recent solar cars.

GRACEFUL UNDER THE SPOTLIGHT.

Do not allow its size to deceive you. Aevum achieves all of the above without significantly compromising weight when compared to Electrum.

Aevum’s sleek chassis is also emblazoned with a brand-new tricolor livery, signaling a departure from the plain maize-and-blue of years past.
